How to Use This Blog
The word "blog" is a combination of the words "web" and "log." Think of it as a journal. It is composed of short entries arranged in chronological order. Newer entries are at the "top" of the blog. At the beginning of each entry is the date and title of that entry.
Individual entries are often referred to as "posts," in blog terminology. Bloggers often talk about "posting." This entry will use the words "entry" and "post" interchangably.
*How does J. K. Drummond use the blog
By posting, on close to a daily basis, pictures of the work I have done that day, or very recently.
You will also find a link for "News" in the sidebar. Here I announce shows, workshops, etc.
*What are comments?
An important and fun feature of blogs is that they allow the readers of the blog to comment on blog entries. Each entry has a link at the bottom, "COMMENTS." There is a number in front of it. That number indicates how many comments that entry has. To see the comments, and enter a comment of your own, click on "COMMENTS."
You can add your own comment. If you have a Blogger account, login and comment. If you do not have a blogger account, you can click, "Other," and leave your name along with your comment, or click "Anonymous." Feedback is always appreciated, even if its just to let me know you are looking at the blog.
*Labels
At the bottom of most posts you will see a label or tag. It shows up as a link in the text of the post. Labels are used to link similar posts together. The way I use them is to link together posts of the same picture. If you click on a label, you get to see a picture in various stages. This is one of the coolest features of the blog.
*Sidebar
In the right hand sidebar are several useful links. There is the link to this article on how to use the blog. There is a link to news, a link to the online store, and links to other websites.
